What this is

wordsearchr is a free word search site: hundreds of themed puzzles you can play in the browser or print as a PDF with an answer key, in ten languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Korean, and Japanese.

Every puzzle in a given language is built around words people actually use in that language, not translations of an English list. The facts, trivia, and stories on each page are researched and written per theme, with sources linked at the bottom.

Who makes it

wordsearchr is made by Sam Letterman — a one-person, independent project started in 2026, now at 500 puzzles across ten languages. No ad network, no accounts, no tracking. It exists because word searches are a genuinely good way to build vocabulary, especially for language learners and classrooms, and most puzzle sites bury that under ads.

Teachers are welcome to print anything here for classroom use. If you spot a mistake in a word list or a fact, please say so via the Contact page — corrections ship quickly.
